Once again, Google Apps is sending me on a whirlwind of settings, buttons, and help files.

I recently added my second business, ManagerSal.com, to my Google Apps account so we can better collaborate and handle growth. The first thing I did was set up email accounts for all of us so we can communicate and share documents. Next was the trivial task of having a “catch-all” email send all other email to me. Or not.

Surprise! You can not set up a catch-all email address for a second domain.

Naturally, there are limitations for extra domains, such as they can’t have separate logos. Google spells them out in their Limitation for multiple domains page with nice bullet points. They don’t mention that you can’t have a catch-all email address though.

I did find an old discussion on their forum that mentions this, and seems to imply that if I turn it off and on it will eventually work. And another from a few years ago with my same problem.  We’ll see ’bout that . . . .

In the meantime, if anyone has a work-a-round for me, I’d really appreciate a tip.
